Fun Fashion

I love these earrings.  I got them from a friend for free!  She was tired of them and passed them onto me.  I love that kind of recycling! :o)

Eyelash Love

I wanted to get a Shu Uemura eyelash curlers but I saw the Anna Sui one on Ebay and I was sold!
I really enjoy Anna Sui's Design and really dig the black and purple color scheme.  The silicone pad is even purple too, it came with an extra pad so when this one goes I have a back up.
I appreciate the black design because sometimes I will go back and shape my eyelashes after mascara.
I will definitely repurchased if this one ever goes or *gasp* lose this one!
I highly recommend, beautiful design and function.

This makes me Happy. Hopefully it will brighten your day too.

Today was just another day at the grind.
Gina and I were talking about random things at lunch and the islands (the carribeans and such)came up.  I have only been on one island for one day.  Several years ago I went on a crusie and spent an afternoon on the Grand Caymen islands.  It was beautiful but so such a short time there.  Gina had been to several different locations and was telling me all the wonderful things. :o)
Although I have only been once physically, I go to the "islands" a lot.  When things get crazy and I notice my stress level is climbing up, I close my eyes and think of that georgous beach in my head.  White sands, that beautiful shade of blue water that I can see to the bottom and my cabana waiting for me all by myself.  Ocasionally I do dream about what a great drink, a handsome man to rub my feet ;o) and so on.  It puts a smile on my face and makes me happy.  Songs are the best to take me there.  My favorite song to get me to the island is "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley.

So my hope is for you to be able to wake tomorrow morning "smiling at the rising sun" and have your own "three little birds" singin sweet songs on you doorstep telling you to not worry about a thing!

See you on the island!
Best wishes,
Mo
Its a fun bit of glitter.
I am such a packaging whore.....I love the design of the lid and that she prints directly on the bottle not just a sticker.  Hello Chanel, $23 for a bottle of nail polish and its a sticker on the front.

See the beautiful black Victorian rose?  Reminds me of a co-worker's roses that she brings in from her garden.
I got it from Ebay so it was super cheap and I am not one hundred percent that the product is 100% genuine.  So I don't feel comfortable saying whether the product is good or not especially since the opening of the bottle could have been tampered.
I really like good packaging, almost as much as I love good makeup!

Fun Cheapy Lip Gloss

I really do like E.L.F products. I picked this one up for a buck at the Dollar Store one Saturday while waiting for the morning movie to start.
You have to click it quite a bit for it to come out, but for a buck I am not worried.  I don't really think that they should call this a lipstick though.  Yeah, I get the part that they call it liquid lipstick.  Really just call it what it is, gloss.  I guess its like calling Target...Tar~jay.
Overall its pretty shear but gives a nice color.
Would I buy again?  Yeah, but I am not running to go get it.

Three Little Piggies!!!

Three little pigments came home with me from the Philly CCO.  I have been buying the max of pigments their until the new sizes come thru.  If you don't know the new sizes are about half of the weight.  But realistically there is so much pigment in one of these, I don't expect to run out anytime even if I have one of the new sizes.

The first one is Lark About which is a shimmer sliver white pigment.  Its an excellent highlight color and to blend down dark colors.
This next one is Bell Bottom Blue and its a true blue jean blue.  Its exactly the color I think of when I think of a great pair of blue jeans.
This last little beauty is hard to describe but it is like a frostier bit blacker version of cranberry.
I really do like the pigments that MAC offers.  So many ways to use them.
Would I buy again? Oh yeah.
I purchased at the Cosmetic Company Outlet.  Unfortunately, there is no website, but I would check your local outlet mall to see if one is near you.

WTF MAC!!???

Really, Like Really?  Come on.
What's the good thing out of this?  So maybe this will make people look at the area with a bit more of a careful eye.
Want to know what I am talking about?

Check out the post from the Pink Sith.  There are many others on the blogs.

Okay, something better...Temptalia posted that MAC is going to change all of the names and donate $100K to help charities that benefit women in Juarez, Mexico.  You can check it out here.

This sounds weird ~ Moistly

Yeah, I think the name totally sounds x rated but I guess that is just me.  My mind does tend to fall in the gutter when I am not looking!

I picked this one also up with Golden Soft and Preppy.  This has to be one of the more wearable everyday work colors for me.  It looks a bit scary in the tube but it ends up applying more like Clinque's Black Honey from the Almost Lipstick line that also retails for $14.  The Clinque has less product at 0.07 oz and MAC's lipgelees are 0.5 for the same price.
I put this one on a white sheet so that you could truly see how sheer it is.  Sorry for the failing light.
Would I buy again, Hell yes! The color is great for me and I love the smell and moisturizing that I get from the lipgelees.

Not so honey

Not really loving this Shampoo.  Thankfully I got this in a trial size so I wasn't out too much.  I have fine, color treated hair and I workout by doing laps in the pool.  So my hair gets pretty fried pretty quick.  I am not by any means great at doing my hair or know a particular lot about hair.  This just didn't work for me, it left it feeling overly conditioned and I don't think that it got all of the chlorine out.
I wouldn't buy it again.

Feeling a little preppy

This is another wonderful lipgelee from MAC from my recent trip to Philly.

Check out the sparkles!!!!
You get a fair bit for your $14.  I feel that there is way more gloss in this than the dazzleglass even though the dazzleglass has 0.6 US FL oz. But what is 0.1 between friends?  Unless you work where I do!

Pardon the touch of eczema on my hand or the creeping crude as my brother so loving refers to it as!
This one was much different than golden soft.  Preppy has a definite color payoff and the sparkles really shine.  It has the same vanilla smell and same level of stickiness.
Would I buy again, yep. Another favorite in my collection!

Summer Golden

I picked this baby up on one of my trips back from the museum heading to Patco at the Philly MAC store on Walnut Street. I swear they put that store there just to get my money!
Its a lipgelee that goes for $14.  I really like MAC lipgloss and it does have that wonderful vanilla smell that seems to be a standard with MAC.

It does get bit sticky if you go over that threshold of more than one swipe.  As you can see from the pic above of my hand with swatches it does blend out quite a bit from the tube.  It leaves your lips with a nice golden glow that isn't over powering.  I am sure this would look rocking over some cool lip liners or lipstick to give it an extra pop.
Unfortunately, this color isn't available on the MAC website. It was just available in the store with some a couple other lipgelees left over.
Would I buy again, yep.  Its a good summer color and I can get away with it being my almost nude gloss with a kick.

Best Wishes to You and Yours Always,
Mo

Trying to beat the heat

So I have been trying to beat the heat here in Jersey and it is a losing battle.  Thankfully the humidity has dropped the past couple of days so I can get out a bit more and it doesn't feel like I am swimming in Soup!
This little packet of Blotting Papers has been in my purse since May and doesn't look like it is coming out anytime soon.
They retail off of the site for $1.00 which is pretty awesome.  Now normally if I get shiny I will go to the ladies room and blot some tissue paper or take one of the seat covers (new from the back) and blot to take away any extra shine that my lovely combo skin is giving me that day!

As you can see they are not white.  It doesn't feel harsh and I really don't notice any difference of using this one.  The website says that it has green tea infused into the sheets, hence the little spots.  I haven't noticed any difference based off of what I use to use.  I just like the fact that I am not putting TP or a but shield on my face.  LOL.  In a pinch watch out!
Would I buy again, yep.  Its worth the dollar for the fact that I don't have to stand in the Ladies room at work trying to hurry and blot my face with something that will most definitely start a conversation!

NOTD ~ OPI

Return of the sideways shots!  This is a really pretty pink with a blue base.
Its Called Wing It.
This side view inside really shows off the blue base to it.
This is the really stinky part.  This is 4 coats.  Yep, you read that right, 4 coats!!  Ugh and with the sparkles it became to thick and dented so much you would have thought it was a beater car.
I will only use this one if I have short nails.  Not long.

Viva La Glam!

Viva Glam VI Lipstick

This is my favorite Lipstick.  Its a great mauve brown.  Its a luster lipstick which means its pretty shear but it is really moisturising for a lipstick.   MAC calls it a terracota plum but I don't see it.  I like my description better! :o)
The great thing about the Viva Glam series is that all sales go to Aids fund to support Men, Women and children living with HIV.  It cost $14 a tube.
I have gotten some of the other Viva glam series but this one is my favorite and the only one that I have repurchased 3 times already!  My friends and Mom just love the shade and seem to snag mine!
Its also the only one that I have ever hit pan on!

NOTD ~ Zoya

This beauty is from my nail haul about a week ago.  This is such a beautiful red, deep crimson red!
As you can see I am still having issues with getting the pictures to upload right side up!  But you get the point.
Inside no flash under florescent.
One more out focus with feeling!

Love it, not enough to buy a dupe but pretty close!

I have to get one of these!

LOL!  I have to get one of these cutie robes for Lincoln.  He is not having it.  Link is more the shake and go little male.
Maybe he will like it in blue.....

My Go To Pick Me Up

This is my go to in a hurry.  I was looking for a nice lightweight foundation.  I couldn't seem to find one that would work with my skin.  The ones I would try would either it would slide off of my face during the day or look patchy by the end because it was too dry.
I love this stuff.  I put it on in the morning and set it with Lancome Dual Finish in Matte Wheat ($35). With the two, I am surprised at how long it stays on thru out the day.  I will throw this on to tone down all of the red in my skin and it is totally build able.  Thankfully a little goes a long way so its lasted me about 4 months out of one tube.  The price is $29.50, so its not really that much of a budget breaker for me since buying this one has swore me off throwing money at other foundations.  My color is medium.

Mo

Sample Bucket ~ Fyrinnae

Sample bucket time!
This one is from Fyrinnae and its called
Arcane Magic Faerie Glamour!
Its so pretty!  Its a periwinkle blue with violet shimmers.  Its really hard to take a photo of it and do it any real justice to show how pretty it actually is.
These just use to be the sample sizes which was really cool for $1.75 you got a little jar with either a 1/3 tsp or 1/4 tsp for Arcane shades.  But now its still pretty cool same sizes for $2.  I can handle the $0.25 increase, even in this market.  Now instead of being called sample, they are called mini.
I highly recommend this company.  I can't say enough good things about them.  Independent, big with the bloggers (great reviews), quick shipping ($3.00 for U.S & $3.50 international) and excellent color payoff.

Would I buy from them again, Yes and am planning another Fyrianne haul in full sizes.

Best Wishes for You and Yours,
Mo
** Editior's Note, Per the comment below from Fyrianne, the sizings were listed incorrect.  Please see the wonderfully kind comment from Fyrinnae Cosmetics with the correct information!**

Lush Honey Trap

I got this little cutie at the Philly Lush store on Walnut Street one day walking back from the Franklin Institute to the Patco line.  Love that walk back.  Its so pretty walking thru Center City on a bright afternoon day.  Lately I haven't gotten 3 or 4 blocks back without pouring down with sweat.  So I have to stop along the way home right?  I swung into Lush where the Sales Associates are always eager to help and are really great about giving samples and such out with purchase.  I am pretty sure you could get a sample without purchase, but I have never asked.  While I was waiting on my order to get all put together I spied these lovely little balms beside the counter. Which I am sure that's why they put them there!

I thought it was pretty cool that thier was an expiration date on the lip balm.  I am really bad with making sure I throw out my makeup on the expiration date.  I just usally go by smell or general, "I think I have had this too long" and chuck it in the trash.
This sells for $6.95 which is pricey but I don't buy lip balm too often because I don't like to stick my fingers in the pot and sticks work better for me.
Would I buy again?  No, but nothing against the product. It works, its just an expensive chapstick in my opinion.

Mo

Sample Bucket ~ Empty Heart

Empty Heart

I have a ton of samples, I love them.  This company is some what controversial and I don't really recommend purchasing from them.  You can easily google the reviews and it isn't pretty.  Its really sad because they have beautiful shades and the prices are phenomenal.  The samples are $0.25. Yep, a quarter.  They are itty bitty bags but I have easily gotten ten uses out of.  So not so itty bitty with color payoff.  I grabbed this one to use for work and I got quite a few compliments.  Its a taupe brown with these beautiful blue sparkles.  Ugh, to die for!
The reason I can't recommend Archetype cosmetics is the shipping.  They take forever to ship and I have heard that previously they didn't ship everything ordered.  So sad.  When I ordered a ton of samples I had heard that it would take forever but not to the extent it did.  It took about a month for me to get a hold of these lovelies.  So that is why I won't post the web address.  :o(
Would I repurchase?  Maybe. It sucks because the colors are so pretty.  I have heard that they are working on getting the shipping fixed.  I would more likely go with Fyrinne for beautiful colors and a definite turn around time.

TJ Maxx Score!

Yes, I know. I am Like 5 but I don't care. Check out my TJ Maxx find!
I got this Paul Frank bag for $5 bucks, yeah! I was walking down the rows and I know I am not suppose to be buying anymore purses or bags of any kind. My closet and bins are overflowing with them. But this one screamed out, take me home!!!
So I did! I really like Paul Frank's designs and this is just a fun little purse about 10 inches tall and 5 inches across. Its now my fun makeup case at the moment. Unfortunately, its to small for me to use for a handbag. I carry to much with me on a daily basis to use something this small.
Would I buy it again, Hells Yeah! If it wasn't the only one I would have bought all they had to give to friends and you never know I could use it for a present wrapping.

Mo

Brushes ~

Sonia Kashuk Brushes
I picked this brush set up because of the cork and wood handles and the cute little clutch.
Yeah, sucker for cute packaging.
Inside of clutch, not so big. My phone, lipgloss, ATM card and id is all it will really hold.
I have previously bought Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target before. They are okay but nothing I would really right home about. The funny thing about this set is the brushes don't really lay flat in the clutch.
If you put them in the bag you are gonna mush them. Their decent but for the price I could get quite a few ELF Studio brushes that work just as well if not better.

The first one from the right has become one of my favorite blusher brushes so I guess the purchase wasn't a total fail. The don't shed like say a MAC travel size set of brushes, which I will never ever buy again. I can see these going bad quicker because the handles don't have anything more than a thin, oil stain on them. So watch out if you have them in the bathroom, the humidity might make them go quicker.
Would I buy again, nope.
Best Wishes Always for You and Yours,
Mo

Elf Duo fail

Oh ELF. How I love your videos done by all the different Youtubers. I just can't seem to get you eye products to work for me. So sad.
I got this shadow liner duo because I am a gadget girl. I loved Mr Gadget cartoons when I was younger and even watched the movie redo. Matthew Broderick is always going to be Ferris to me though.

I thought that there might be a problem with the shadow stick when I was swatching it on my hand. It was pretty dry and I had to tug it across. The shadow stinks. I do not care for it. It doesn't blend well and I tried my best but it just didn't go on well.
The liner is so so. It went on so much better than the shadow, creamy and beautiful color. It did crease on me, but in the liner's defense I do have pretty hooded eyes. So I really do have to have something set quick and not move.

The good, it was only $3.00 so I am not out much. I will still use up the liner, but more as a base for other shadows. I did use Urban Decay Primer Potion to make the shadow stick before I went to work but it stayed sticky all day. I did try it at home with just the shadow but it still stunk.
I will not buy this one again and don't recommend it.
Best Wishes Always for You and Yours,
Mo
