Window Shopping

So I read this blog http://legothique.com/ on a regular basis.  Grey does a regular post on the weekends mostly of window shopping.  These great images of things she sees online and finds interesting and cool.

I love that regular post.  So the other day I was out and about and driving through Haddonfield NJ.  At the corner of Kings Highway and Haddon Road there is a store called Jay West.  Its a dress shop that reminds me so much of the dress shop in the Time Machine by H.G. Wells.

Their window displays are gorgeous.  So many beautiful dresses.  So many expensive dresses that I can't own much less have anywhere to were these beautiful dresses.  But I digress, I was driving by and I saw this beautiful dress.

Its so pretty.  Don't mind me in the reflection!  On my wanderings back home I stopped at Woolplay down the street and headed back up to the shop and grabbed some pictures.  They don't do it justice but it gets the point across.

I went in and asked how much, I thought it would be 600 to 800 but it was 485.  Still way out of my price range, much less that I have absolutely no where to wear it too.
I love it.  It makes me smile.

If you get a chance you should really check out Le Gothique's website.  She does lots of reviews of indie makeup companies and Esty.  Which is great because it supports small business and gives you detailed honest reviews on customer service, shipping times and quality.  Grey tells you if it is a repackaged shade that you could find for cheaper and if the item off of Etsy is quality made.

She also does to reviews of major cosmetic brands too, so if indie is not your thing Grey covers those as well.

Sephora Makeup Haul, sorta of not really to be honest.

So the other night I found myself in an all too familiar situation.  I would love to say that it never happens or even rarely happens to me.  But I found myself standing in the middle of the Cherry Hill Mall looking like an idiot.  No, this isn't what happens all of the time but close.  I forgot my phone and I was suppose to call a friend that I was going to meet up to tell them where I was.
Yes, I have missed dinner dates trips into the city and now pissing off my friends just at random.  I can't help it.  I forget my phone all of the time.  I will be first in line Or just pushed there by my friends and family when they come out with a phone inserted under the skin.  Maybe I will just pick up some super glue and a bluetooth headset!
Back to me standing in the mall.  I had run a circle around to all of the stores I thought that Gina would be in and even begged the mall security to do an announcement with no luck.  Low and behold I am standing there trying to keep an eye on where I know she was suppose to be heading to when she comes up behind me!
Yeah!!!!
So after Gina finding me we headed over to Sephora.  I love going to Sephora with Gina.  We have such a good time and love discussing the makeup we have tried, what we are excited to pick up and what it looks like on!
So I ended up picking up the Stila smudge stick waterproof eyeliner in Morley and got the Fresh perfume in citron de vigne for cashing in some of my vib points.
I like the perfume, its nice and fresh pun intended.

I was surprised how much was in the bottle, granted it was a 100 point perk but still, lately I have noticed that while Sales Associates will always happily give me samples they have been on the minuscule side. Not that I am complaining at all.  I am just saying ya know?
The reason why I got Morley was hearing from Gina about how great the liners are.  I don't have many items, actually none that I can think of from Stila.  They do come in a lovely variety of colors.  This green was just screaming my name.  Its got a bit of gold flecks in the liner and it just pops.
I love these liners in the twist tubes.  I find it so much easier to line with a thin pointed liner.  It helps my man claws that the liners fine tip lets me get close to the lash line.

Its showing more gold green but in real life its more olive green with gold shot thru.

On a side note, I am digging the packaging that Stila uses.

As you can see it comes in cardboard packaging that easily goes into the recycle bin.  I am all about pretty packaging but its cool when you see this and realize its more whats inside.  Or maybe maturity is dragging me kicking and screaming into actual adulthood.  *Shivers*

Thank you for looking!

Best wishes and cell phone always handy for you!

Happiness in a Jar

So I love Chanel Makeup. I have no illusions that I would ever be able to afford to wear Chanel clothes.  They just don't come in my size, they are way to expensive for me and if I did have enough money to by Chanel clothes I am sure I haven't paid rent.

Even with all of that I do lurk around the Chanel counter in Macy's more than I should.  I am a stray from the MAC counter that just can't get enough.  The ladies at the counter should know this by now.  I look all of the time and rarely buy.  But the other day I was looking at the makeup and wandered over to the skincare and low and behold the Beautiful Sales Associate, who's beauty elevated for the fact that she gave me a sample of some face cream.  I don't care if you think I am shallow or stupid to be happy over a sample.  I love it.  I don't even remember what kind of skin cream she said was in it, I just love the little glass jar!  Most places give you samples in a plastic jar or a baggie that reminds you of some kind of elicit drug deal, not that I have any experience, I am just saying! ;o)

So here it is

I love the double C's.  Its so cute.
Its a face cream that has a gel consistency to it.  To say that it works great wouldn't be honest because it lights up my face just to pick up the jar.

Thanks for looking and letting me share my little obsessions with you!
Lots of Love to you and yours,
Mo

Phyrra & New Backgound

So some of you might have noticed that I change the background and a bit of the layout.

I got the previous layout from Pyzam.com. I had seen the cool layout on the Pink Sith's site.  http://www.pinksith.com/ You should check out her site.  She does great reviews and an awesome Thursday Poll that I look forward to reading every week.  So I got a cool layout and background from Pyzam. Now let me first to admit that I am not computer savvy.  Which is pretty bad to admit since part of my job is to navigate my company's dealers around our website.  At work though I have an awesome tech team that will answer my questions fix broken items and generally help me look good in front of the dealers.

So I followed the directions on Pyzam to the best of my abilities and loaded onto the blog.  I loved that background!

My Pretties! AKA My search for Robert Smith Lips

When I was in high school, I am so dating myself but I loved my jet black hair and rocking matte red lips. No, it wasn't because I was goth. Or is that even goth? Probably not but anyway...I just really liked how it looked. In the winter I get really pale skin so the red stands out. I don't even remember the color's name but it was from Estee Lauder and came in this beautiful gold package. It was a blue base red that looks amazing in the couple of pictures that I have of myself at that time. Even then I didn't like pictures of myself!

So lately I have been trying to embrace my "inner beauty" and rock out. Basically fixing myself up more to be noticed and not shrink into the background.

Clearance Score!!!

I saw this a Ulta in the clearance bin and immediately picked it up!
Yep, the makeup palette to go!
The face case wasn't bad at the original price of $15 but I got it for $4.99!
The case is somewhat rubberized but not to the Nars extent.

Yes, there is glitter bomb midnight cowboy rides again.  Otherwise I really like the colors.  The bottom two are more my style, twice baked and grifter.  The blush is hooked up, which I will use as an eyeshadow instead of a blush but its a cool color none the less.  I just don't see me carrying around a separate blush brush.
Close ups!
From top to bottom, Naked, Love Junkie and Carney.  I noticed that Love Junkie and Carney are very shear and really dent quickly.  I am cool with that because I think once I use this up I will melt in some lipstick.  I love the big mirror that it comes with so I will definitely use this palette up.

It came with a decent brush too.  I really like the lip brush and I do touch up through out the day.  Its becoming an OCD thing to make sure I keep my lips fixed through out the day!

Thanks for looking!

I hope that you find all kinds of goodies on your clearance shopping!

Staples, Staples and Staples.

So lately I have been trying to limit my makeup purchases to staples. Good colors that can be used a multitude of ways.

So with an Ulta coupon in hand I picked up Black Bean from NYX.
I see this used time and time again in YouTube tutorial videos and on plenty of blog tutorial post too.

Its number 601 and for some reason I have had a hard time finding at Ulta whenever I happen to be in the store and remember to look for staples!
I am guessing that it is because so many people keep picking it up.
The pencil kinda gets me.  I don't like that you have to sharpen.  I would much rather see a twist up.  Since the formula is so cream I can just see this being a mess in the sharpener.  What I usually do with eye pencils that are really creamy is throw it in the freezer for about half an hour or so then sharpen them.  Or a wait get a couple and do it on a weekday night so they are all good to go.  This also makes me use my other colors that I sometime neglect when using my standbys all of the time!
For as cheap as this product is I was surprised how pigmented the black actually is.  Its a good product but does crease.  You have to set it with shadow or this will turn into panda eyes without a doubt!

Thanks for looking!!!
I hope you find all of your wishes!

My New Obsession

My New Nails!!!!

I decided to get gel nails.  I love them.  Lately I have had very brittle flaky nails.  Hence the lack of pictures on my nails.  The just look horrid.  I can't keep nail polish on them.  I have been trying to get them back into shape with rubbing cuticle oils, putting hard as nails on etc.. So finally I threw my fingers up and went to my local nail salon and broke down and got new nails.
I haven't had nails this long in forever!  Even though the gel nails are more expensive I feel that they weren't as harsh as acrylics.  I did get tips but hopefully they will grow out nicely.  I also really like that I can change up my polish and have the french tips underneath.
To date I have already changed out my nail color 3 times and they still look great!

Thanks for looking!
Love Mo.

Peacocky, WTF?

I wasn't too taken with the Peacocky collection from MAC but after seeing Dustin Hunter's review on youtube I decided to pick up a couple of shadows and one from the permanent line.

Oh Mia

I got a Clarisonic Mia!

Actually, I got it for my Mom for Christmas but she didn't want it.  WTF?!

I know, I know.  I was shocked when I proudly presented it to her and she said she didn't want it.  I was dumbstruck.  So when Mom told me to send it back I decided to keep it.  I am glad I did!

Its smaller than the full size but It does have a really cool charger.  See the little dimples on the bottom?  Well that's were the charger sticks too.  Its like a magnet.  So cool.
See what I mean?  On the first charge it takes 24 hours. After that it doesn't take to long to charge after the initial.

So how does it work out?

It does make my skin feel better, but I haven't decided if it is because I know its expensive.  Silly yes.  So I will revisit this later in another post to see if it is actually working for me.  Now to be fair my skin has improved dramatically, well at least to me, in the past couple of months.  I have lost 50lbs so I notice now that my skin isn't as red as it use to be.  One of my friends suggested that it might be due to my blood pressure not being as high.  Which it could very well be.  I am drinking a lot of water and exercising so I know that it has to be helping my skin.  I still have a lot of weight to drop, another 100 to go.  So I am 1/3 of the way there!

Thank you for reading my lovely lemon drops!

My box of Chocolates!

Yeah, it looks like I broke my diet.

But not really, I saw these at CVS and had to have them.

Lipgloss!

They aren't very big but smells great.  It gives me that "I getting chocolate!" fix.  It wasn't to bad only 5 bucks.  Do you all have any good tricks for faking your self out of indulging in sweets?  I would love to hear them.

Thanks for looking and I hope everything is coming up sweetly for you!

Liquid foundation of the Moment

I picked up some liquid foundation from the CCO the other day.  I got the mineralized foundation.  I have a hard time with liquid foundation.  I have a hard time blending it.  I tend to go for tinted moisturiser then powder foundation on top.

This foundation is medium to heavy coverage for me.  It blends really nicely, so I can wear it easily.  So overall its a good CCO purchase.  Unfortunately, they don't carry every shade so it is hit or miss.

Thank you for looking,

Intense Rouge

OOh boy this is intense.  Its like Ruby Woo kicked up on Chanel Red Dragon!
Now this was my first MUFE lip color.  I love the eyeliners and aqua creams already.  I am quite happy with this red.  It does really stay too.  This read won't rub off easily.
Oh yeah that's red.
I have Ruby Woo on top and MUFE 46 on the bottom.  Yeah its not matte but WoW what a color. It runs $19 a pop which is more than MAC lipstick.  I found that this formulation is long lasting and keeps moisturizing, kinda like a long lasting luster from MAC.

You can get Make Up For Ever at Sephora and some MUFE boutiques.

Drug Store Haul

I picked up some great drugstore finds.  I was really surprised how great the pigmentation was on these cheap makeup!

I got Wet N Wild Brulee.  Now this is my second purchase of this color.  I found about this color from Kragey.  You have to check out her reviews on you tube.  She gives a really great review on products, very honest and spotlights products that I know I wouldn't have tried otherwise.
Brulee is a great shade that I can use as a highlighter and blending color.  I got the whole haul on a 50% so the single shade was only a dollar.

A couple of compacts ended up being only $2.50 each.  It has the best beauty purchase I have made in awhile.
Each one of these palettes have good pigmentation and blend well.

Out of all four the Lust palette has to be my favorite.  Which I didn't get a picture of before I used it.  Second to that has to be the Greed palette below.

These nice greys and pinks work well for work.

Worth the money and I only wish that I got the Xmas palettes that came out.

Thank you for looking!

King of the Mods

I needed some hair gel.  So I was in Philly and thought about trying out the Goth Juice.  So I went in to Lush and came out with King of the Mods styling gel.  It really does hold my curls nicely without leaving that yucky crunch behind.  Now I am not saying that crunchy curls are bad.  In my experience when I get crunchy curls it ends up leaving flaky mess in my hair.
As you can see the "gel" is more of a cream.  I only use a tiny amount to get hold.  Its more on the expensive side of products but since you need such a little amount it goes a long way.

I would buy this again.

Take care and thank you for looking!

My Cham Pale Part Duex

So here it is Part Two

I placed an online order, which I was quite happy with my purchases.  So me being me, went out and purchased some more from one of my favorite MAC counters.
I purchased another Lipgelee (big shocker), paint pot and a Chromographic Pencil.

This is my glitter bomb out of the collection, but I could not pass it up.  I love layering a pretty lipstick or long lasting lipcolor with lipgelee.  It gives it a pop of shimmer and keeps long lasting lip colors (like Loreal long last Infallible) looking hydrated instead of all banged out after a couple of hours of wear.
Can you see the glitter shining thru from the lipgelee?
From top to bottom, Sin-tillation, Let Me Pop and then NC 15/ NW 20 chromographic pencil.  I know a lot of people use this for their water line to make the eyes look bigger.  I think it looks a bit weird on me.  Now I did not have any eyeliner on the top so this might end up working for that purpose.  What I have found it use for for is spots.  I am an NW 20, so in the morning if after I have put foundation on I can zap out any little redness that might be peaking thru.  Now mind you this isn't the best way I am sure, but when I am a bit lazy and don't want to get my fingers dirty or another brush this helps in a hurry.

Thanks for Looking!
Lots of love to you and yours,
Mo

This is one of those polishes that look better in real life than in pictures.  Here it is with flash above and below without.
See how the green really shines.  Its like an army green with a kick.
Hence it makes me So Psyched to wear!
