My Go To Pick Me Up

This is my go to in a hurry.  I was looking for a nice lightweight foundation.  I couldn't seem to find one that would work with my skin.  The ones I would try would either it would slide off of my face during the day or look patchy by the end because it was too dry.
I love this stuff.  I put it on in the morning and set it with Lancome Dual Finish in Matte Wheat ($35). With the two, I am surprised at how long it stays on thru out the day.  I will throw this on to tone down all of the red in my skin and it is totally build able.  Thankfully a little goes a long way so its lasted me about 4 months out of one tube.  The price is $29.50, so its not really that much of a budget breaker for me since buying this one has swore me off throwing money at other foundations.  My color is medium.

Sample Bucket ~ Fyrinnae

Sample bucket time!
This one is from Fyrinnae and its called
Arcane Magic Faerie Glamour!
Its so pretty!  Its a periwinkle blue with violet shimmers.  Its really hard to take a photo of it and do it any real justice to show how pretty it actually is.
These just use to be the sample sizes which was really cool for $1.75 you got a little jar with either a 1/3 tsp or 1/4 tsp for Arcane shades.  But now its still pretty cool same sizes for $2.  I can handle the $0.25 increase, even in this market.  Now instead of being called sample, they are called mini.
I highly recommend this company.  I can't say enough good things about them.  Independent, big with the bloggers (great reviews), quick shipping ($3.00 for U.S & $3.50 international) and excellent color payoff.

Would I buy from them again, Yes and am planning another Fyrianne haul in full sizes.

Best Wishes for You and Yours,
Mo

Lush Honey Trap

I got this little cutie at the Philly Lush store on Walnut Street one day walking back from the Franklin Institute to the Patco line.  Love that walk back.  Its so pretty walking thru Center City on a bright afternoon day.  Lately I haven't gotten 3 or 4 blocks back without pouring down with sweat.  So I have to stop along the way home right?  I swung into Lush where the Sales Associates are always eager to help and are really great about giving samples and such out with purchase.  I am pretty sure you could get a sample without purchase, but I have never asked.  While I was waiting on my order to get all put together I spied these lovely little balms beside the counter. Which I am sure that's why they put them there!

I thought it was pretty cool that thier was an expiration date on the lip balm.  I am really bad with making sure I throw out my makeup on the expiration date.  I just usally go by smell or general, "I think I have had this too long" and chuck it in the trash.
This sells for $6.95 which is pricey but I don't buy lip balm too often because I don't like to stick my fingers in the pot and sticks work better for me.
Would I buy again?  No, but nothing against the product. It works, its just an expensive chapstick in my opinion.

Sample Bucket ~ Empty Heart

Empty Heart

I have a ton of samples, I love them.  This company is some what controversial and I don't really recommend purchasing from them.  You can easily google the reviews and it isn't pretty.  Its really sad because they have beautiful shades and the prices are phenomenal.  The samples are $0.25. Yep, a quarter.  They are itty bitty bags but I have easily gotten ten uses out of.  So not so itty bitty with color payoff.  I grabbed this one to use for work and I got quite a few compliments.  Its a taupe brown with these beautiful blue sparkles.  Ugh, to die for!
The reason I can't recommend Archetype cosmetics is the shipping.  They take forever to ship and I have heard that previously they didn't ship everything ordered.  So sad.  When I ordered a ton of samples I had heard that it would take forever but not to the extent it did.  It took about a month for me to get a hold of these lovelies.  So that is why I won't post the web address.  :o(
Would I repurchase?  Maybe. It sucks because the colors are so pretty.  I have heard that they are working on getting the shipping fixed.  I would more likely go with Fyrinne for beautiful colors and a definite turn around time.

TJ Maxx Score!

Yes, I know. I am Like 5 but I don't care. Check out my TJ Maxx find!
I got this Paul Frank bag for $5 bucks, yeah! I was walking down the rows and I know I am not suppose to be buying anymore purses or bags of any kind. My closet and bins are overflowing with them. But this one screamed out, take me home!!!
So I did! I really like Paul Frank's designs and this is just a fun little purse about 10 inches tall and 5 inches across. Its now my fun makeup case at the moment. Unfortunately, its to small for me to use for a handbag. I carry to much with me on a daily basis to use something this small.
Would I buy it again, Hells Yeah! If it wasn't the only one I would have bought all they had to give to friends and you never know I could use it for a present wrapping.

Brushes ~

Sonia Kashuk Brushes
I picked this brush set up because of the cork and wood handles and the cute little clutch.
Yeah, sucker for cute packaging.
Inside of clutch, not so big. My phone, lipgloss, ATM card and id is all it will really hold.
I have previously bought Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target before. They are okay but nothing I would really right home about. The funny thing about this set is the brushes don't really lay flat in the clutch.
If you put them in the bag you are gonna mush them. Their decent but for the price I could get quite a few ELF Studio brushes that work just as well if not better.

The first one from the right has become one of my favorite blusher brushes so I guess the purchase wasn't a total fail. The don't shed like say a MAC travel size set of brushes, which I will never ever buy again. I can see these going bad quicker because the handles don't have anything more than a thin, oil stain on them. So watch out if you have them in the bathroom, the humidity might make them go quicker.
Would I buy again, nope.

Elf Duo fail

Oh ELF. How I love your videos done by all the different Youtubers. I just can't seem to get you eye products to work for me. So sad.
I got this shadow liner duo because I am a gadget girl. I loved Mr Gadget cartoons when I was younger and even watched the movie redo. Matthew Broderick is always going to be Ferris to me though.

I thought that there might be a problem with the shadow stick when I was swatching it on my hand. It was pretty dry and I had to tug it across. The shadow stinks. I do not care for it. It doesn't blend well and I tried my best but it just didn't go on well.
The liner is so so. It went on so much better than the shadow, creamy and beautiful color. It did crease on me, but in the liner's defense I do have pretty hooded eyes. So I really do have to have something set quick and not move.

The good, it was only $3.00 so I am not out much. I will still use up the liner, but more as a base for other shadows. I did use Urban Decay Primer Potion to make the shadow stick before I went to work but it stayed sticky all day. I did try it at home with just the shadow but it still stunk.
I will not buy this one again and don't recommend it.
