Oak Night Cream

You might need some of this after tonight!
Oak Night Cream from Korres.  It has some anti-aging ingredients which probably explains the sight tingling feeling you get when you put it on.  It doesn't last long thankfully.  I wouldn't buy this in a full size, not because its not good.  I am just more partial to the primrose night cream or the rose line.

I got this with a 100 point perk from Sephora.

Thank you for looking!
Stay safe this New Year's Eve!

I am on Twitter!

I am now on twitter!  Come check me out. My twitter name is BluestarsMakeup.

Drug store score!

This is a great drugstore find. Lorel's long wear lipstick.
I picked up Kate's Plum which works great with my skin tone. What I hate about buying from the drugstore is that you can't try on the colors before you buy it.  So you just have to take a jump on the color.  I did try to get a red suitable for me, but no luck.
This plum brown is great for work not to over the top and stays all day.
The only thing that isn't so great about the lipstick is how drying these are.  You definitely use the clear lipgloss a lot to stop the wear down on your lips.

Its worth the $11 bucks but I got it for half off just keeping an eye on circulars from drugstores.

Thanks for looking!

Viva Holiday

So the holiday season isn't over just yet, New Years Eve is just around the corner.

I think that I found the perfect clutch for New Years and makes me feel good too!

Its part of MAC's Holiday sets.  Its the Viva Glam set. Its not so much of a sale getting this package but 100% of the proceeds go to helping people with AIDS.
Viva Glam is my favorite lipstick line.  All of the colors go so well with so many complexions and is my go to lipstick.  Normally I don't buy the lipglass but I thought what the hay its the holidays!

The clutch is pretty and roomier than what I originally thought.

Totally worth the money in my opinion.

I also picked up Rebel Lipstick as a back to MAC.
Nice dark red pinky color.

Totally worth the trade in!

Lots of Love,

Plum Purple

I do love ELF. They come up with the cutest packaging.
Love that they include a little eyeliner brush.  Something to keep after the liner is gone.  Or if you are like me, extras because you keep loosing them!

This is a nice blackened plum color.

Not the darkest of colors but its a nice alternative to black.

Love it!

Kinda Weird

What is this?  Kinda weird looking, huh?

Its weird but it works.  For those with those wild hair eyebrows, these set them in place.  Its cheap and last all day.

Happy Nail Polish to Me!

So here are some of my recent nail polish purchases.
Yeah I love me some blue!
Love the name!
Love this glitter.  This is great for layering and just in time for the holiday!

Mint Cream from Elf
For a dollar, not bad.
What I hate about ELF is some of the polishes they ship are dried out a bit too much.  Yeah its only a dollar so I will take the chance but hey still sucks when you open it and see how few applications you are gonna get.

Anyhoo, Have a Happy Holidays and drive safe for those who are traveling to see loved ones!

Skin continued

Continuing on with skin care.  Can you tell I got some spots?

I don't know if its the stress of the holidays or that the cold weather is reeking havoc on my skin.
Hmmm
Anyhoo.
Love this stuff. It really draws out the impurities with out drying out my already dry skin.

Also you don't have to put on a full face of mask.  Most of the time I just hit the areas that are freaking out!

Thank you my buttercups!

Model in a Bottle

This is a weird one Mr. Grinch.

Model in a Bottle.

Okay, yes I spend way too much time watching You Tube videos.  Occasionally I buy things, well a lot more than occasionally truth be told, that I see the gurus swearing about.
So I picked this up when it got to my local beauty supply store.  No, its not going to turn you into a model....damn!
Its a setting spray.  Its suppose to be one of the best out.  Now, I picked it up because I wanted to try it out now and see if it really works so that way when summer time rolls around I have something to keep my makeup on.
So I followed said directions above and did a full face of makeup.  Notice the alcohol in the ingredients above.
Well it works for me.  It makes it stay.  Now I haven't tried it out thru a workout or in the heat (its freaking cold here in NJ) but it made my makeup stay for a good 12 hours looking like I had just applied.
The bad, I think it stinks the high alcohol content reeks!  So its one of those spray and run around the house to get the smell off!  Not really something that screams "Beauty!" to me buy hey I could never stand spraying hairspray either.

Thank you for reading my buttercups,

Acck! Acne

Don't you just hate it when you wake up and see a spot?

Drives me nuts.

I got this awhile ago when I could use some double points from Aveda.  The store associates told me to cut them in half to get more use out of the pads.  I tried it and yeah it does help, but when I need a good scrubbing I am not cutting them in half.  You just don't get enough area to clean your skin with.
These pads do work really well, they help get out the deep down blackheads but with continued use it does dry my skin out.

Hope this helps with getting something to make your holiday pictures great!

Thank you my buttercups!

I am so late to the party...anyway..

So here is what I picked up at the MAC Release Party.  Yes picture heavy.

Kangaroo Keeper

Anyone else carry around the Kitchen Sink?

Not just me huh?
Well, this is for you then.  I love this organizer.  For 10 bucks from Bed Bath and Beyond.  It comes with two in the box, a large and a small.

As you can see not a whole lot smaller than each other.
It works for various sizes of purses.  I do use the smaller one more than the larger. I like small for the fact that I can put it in multiple bags without having to downsize.

Here is the inside of the small one. The sides can be taken in with the drawstrings.

Here is the larger below.
Same setup, just with more room.

Here it is full of fun stuff!

Overall well worth the 10 bucks.  I like being able to find all of my stuff in a hurry and this organizer helps big time.

Take care my buttercups!

CCO Haul

Sometimes its good to wait.
I went quite awhile, for me without going to the CCO in Philly.  I really do have all of the makeup I will ever need but its fun and I like it.
I got a Bobbi Brown makeover last year when the Nordstrom was giving them for free.  There were tons of makeup artist there doing full face make overs.
I love some free.  The artist did a beautiful job and I really did like how everything looked too.  I was just kinda shocked how much it all cost.  So I didn't buy anything.  MAC is normally the most expensive makeup I will buy.  Occasionally I will splurge for Chanel, but only on special occasions, milestones.  Silly but makes me happy.
