Just Peachy

I just love this shade's name.  I say this a lot at work.  I picked that gem of a phrase up from one of my favorite co-workers.  I use to say pretty much whatever idea popped into my head when someone would ask me.  Usually it wasn't so nice.  Faye (co-worker) told me one day, no one cares really how you feel so say something nice and quick so that they will leave you alone.  It was great advice, from my own personal Maxine.
Back to the lipstick, it sells online for $15.00 and is part of the sheer line.  There is nothing sheer about it.

When I think sheer in a lipstick I tend to think low color payoff and reapplication abounds.  Not with this one.  I put one swipe on my lips in the morning and that color was with me till lunch.  Unfortunately, this color sucks big time on me.  Its just too freaking peachy.

Now I did pick this up as part of a package deal at the Makeup Show back in May.  If I could find a color that works for me, Ooh boy I buy this brand hands down.

Dare to Wear and Gimme That!

This is the only color I picked up from the Dare to Wear collection.
It is a bright fuchsia that is nothing but bright!
Here it is in the light and this color is extremely true to the tube.
Even in low light as you can see above, it has a shimmer and brightness!  It is somewhat sticky but not overly so.  The thing about these lip glasses is that they stain like nobodies business.  Which is nice in one way but wow, like the next day I still had to scrub to bring this pink off of my lips.
I do want the purple from this collection but then again I don't want purple faded lips....so maybe not.

Pigments!!

This pretty teal pigment is such a nice change for me.  I had been diving to much into pink.  Give me my blues and greens or give me death!!
Its not matte, its a nice shimmer to it.  I only use the itsy bitsy amount for it to shade on the outer v of my eye for a nice definition.  I am getting a little better at using darker colors.  They just don't seem so forgiving as a lighter color will.
When I am trying to shade my crease I just have the worse time with getting it even.  I thought at first that it was because I have one eye weaker in the other and that is why I am off.  I have seen many beauty gurus that have similar issues with respect to eyesight and they do just fine (check out Kragey on You Tube).  So I haven't worked up the courage to wear it to work since I work with some really cows who might point it out.  I guess I just need to get over it. I have so many nice supportive people that I work with and I know that they would never say anything bad about my makeup.
Note to self: quit caring what others think.

Too cute

Lincoln Bonaparte S.

My Lipgloss is Poping

Okay, its a lame title for the post, but I really do like this gloss.  I do have the matching lip liner but I have been using the elf lip liner and blending brush for this combo.
I am digging that it is a brush not a doe foot.  The only thing that gets me about a brush is that you don't get much out at a time.

The color is mauve.

Bronze shimmers

Okay you wouldn't think I am cheap on makeup.  Especially if you read this blog regularly!  I can't justify shelling out $38 for a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick.  Yes, they are beautiful and I am sure they are just awesome.  I just can think of too many other things I could buy with that 38.  For example you could almost get two of these shimmer cubes from the Body Shop!  Almost because they are $20 bucks a piece.
These shimmer cubes give quite a lot of product in each cube.  They come out of the plastic casing quite easily.  Its nice because you can use them eyeshadow both wet and dry.  I recommend using the opposite side for just wet because they do get that wet matte look any wet dry shadow gets.

I wouldn't think I will run through these colors but would seriously think about picking up in one of the other 3 shades in the stores.  I checked online and this color isn't available at the online store so pick one up at the brick and mortar when you can.

Nanogold

I picked up this eyeshadow in an attempt to find a shadow that looks great for work and I can get away with just a swipe across the lids.  I think this is pretty good.
Its a nice light gold that can show a rose undertone when I put on my lids.  Its a luster so it is pretty light but buildable.
Its not the perfect color but pretty close.

Do you have any colors that you use as a go to color for work?
